Do you have a Microsoft account and/or would you like to receive emails on your Samsung phone using Outlook? I’ll explain to you right away how to do it, it’s child’s play. First, download and install the Outlook application on your device by visiting the relevant section of the Play Store and pressing the Install button.
Next, start the app by clicking on the Open button that appeared on the display or by selecting its icon that has just been added to the drawer (the Android screen where all the applications are grouped).
Now, press the Start button and type the email address of your email account in the field displayed in the center of the display. The addresses of all major mail providers supporting IMAP and POP3 protocols are supported. Then press the Continue item located at the bottom right, enter the password and tap on the Login button.
If you later see a screen asking you if you want to add another account immediately, freely choose what to do. If you want to configure an additional email address, press Continue, bottom right, and provide the requested data. Otherwise, you tap on the ‘Ignore’ label located at the bottom left, follow the brief introductory tutorial proposed to you and you’ll find yourself in front of the app’s main screen, the one with the inbox.
To read the messages, simply tap on it, while to access the other folders of your Outlook account, press the button with the horizontal lines at the top left and select them from the menu that appears. From the same menu, you can also access the settings relating to the app and the account by pressing the button with the gear located at the bottom.
In the displayed screen, if you want to adjust the parameters related to the synchronization, to the aliases, etc., you tap on your email address. If, instead, you want to add an additional account to the application (even a different email service) select the option named ‘Add account’, choose the Add an email account option from the menu that appears, enter the e-mail address in the dedicated field and press on ‘Continue’.
At this point, if Outlook is able to automatically configure the mail service you are interested in, you will be asked to enter the relevant password and you can immediately start reading your emails. Otherwise, you will have to proceed with manual configuration, tapping on the item ‘Advanced’ settings and filling in the fields on the screen with data relating to the incoming mail server, the one for outgoing mail, etc.
The aforementioned process can also be done for emails that you configure with your MS Outlook account, which include SBCGlobal email. If you are unable to configure your Outlook account, then consult email experts to help you out with the problem(s) that you are dealing with.
