Check account settings

Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
- Username: Type in your full email address.
- Password: Type in the password for your SBCglobal email account.
- Hostname: Enter ‘smtp.domain’ here, or you can select a specific server name or IP address of the domain.
Important
- You will have to uncheck the boxes given right next to the option named ‘automatically manage connection settings’ for incoming as well as outgoing mail servers. When you do that, you will be able to see additional fields.
- Choose ‘advanced IMAP settings’.
- Uncheck the boxes given right next to ‘Use TSL/SSL’ for incoming as well as outgoing mail servers.
- Under outgoing mail server (SMTP) option, you will see a drop-down arrow that you need to click. Select the option named ‘account’ from the list you see on the screen.
- Select ‘edit SMTP server’ list.
- Make sure that the box corresponding to ‘allow insecure authentication’ is ticked.
- Click ‘OK’ and then, click ‘Save’.
Note: You will only be able to see this ‘save’ page if the settings that you have changed are right. After you click ‘save’, you will be able to set up Mac OS Sierra.
