Many SBCGlobal users have complained about SMTP errors that they are facing while using SBCGlobal DSL. It is not just a state or a region that is facing this problem, but the same issue has been reported from multiple locations, and that too in large numbers. The issue, which I am going to discuss today has been faced by many people, and it is also one of the most frustrating issues that has engulfed SBCGlobal up till now. The issue is frustrating, and on top of that, there hasn’t been any concrete troubleshooting steps that a person can follow to fix the issue. But, let’s find out if it can be resolved, and if yes, then how. A few weeks ago, when I wished to send emails from the email client I’m using, I changed my SMTP server in order to match it with the supported SBCGlobal net login server. Even this process is very frustrating, so what I’m about to write is even worse. Today, when you have to send an email from the SMTP server, then you will have to register on SBCGlobal, but it is locked down already. People are trying to send emails after changing their SMTP server thinking that it will resolve the issue, but mail.app is giving the problem. People are seeing ‘not able to accept sender mail addresses’ message, which is very annoying.
What they are doing to fix it is that, they logged into their SBCGlobal net mail login account and added ‘my sender mail addresses’. After that, they verified their names. It may seem a bit out of the box process, but this is how emails can be sent via SMTP from other place they are currently staying at. By doing this, the problem is resolved for a short period of time, but people can’t take it as a permanent solution and neither is it a permanent solution. The issue is resolved because there isn’t more people using www SBCGlobal net at the same time. But, what if they have visitors at home, and they all are using SMTP to send mails from PCs? Well, then the problem will originate once again and it will be very difficult to deal with it. But, it can be resolved by following the below-mentioned steps:
- You will give them your SBCGlobal net email settings information so that they can authenticate through it.
- They need to add their email addresses (if they wish to send emails through those IDs) and verify those email addresses with SBCGlobal email account.
By following this process, you will be able to give the access to your guests to their email accounts using SMTP server. Many people have also tried changing the port of their SMTP server from 2525 to something else, but that didn’t solve the issue. Now, people are thinking whether they should stay with this DSL or change to some other company because there are problems in SBCGlobal. If they are able to get a perfect solution for this issue, then maybe they can think of staying on with this company, otherwise not.
